MATT KENSETH -- No. 17 Arby's/DeWalt Ford Fusion (Qualified 41st)

"I didn't do a very good job. I got through one and two really good the second lap and got too slow in the middle of three and four and couldn't get through center and it made it too loose off. It was just a bad lap."

CARL EDWARDS -- No. 99 Office Depot Ford Fusion (Qualified 32nd)

"That was a huge pickup from practice, I think it was almost four-tenths or something for us, so that's fine. That's as fast as I could go. We kind of threw a setup in it and it worked out. Hopefully that will be top 20."

DO YOU NOTICE A MAJOR DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BUSCH AND CUP CAR? "Yeah, it is a lot different. The Busch car travels a lot more and moves around a lot more and has more grip. This thing is a little more touchy to drive."

RICKY RUDD -- No. 88 Pedigree Ford Fusion (Qualified 24th)

"That's a couple tenths quicker than we practiced. We didn't have a bad practice lap, that was just all we had. They freed the car up a little bit and that was much better."

YOU SAID AT THE TEST THAT YOU FOUND A DIRECTION AFTER THE SECOND DAY. WERE YOU ABLE TO BUILD ON THAT? "That's what they did. The first day I couldn't even drive the car. It was pretty bad bouncing and jumping and knew it wasn't right. They went back to the hotel that night and stayed up quite a few hours looking at all the data and it showed them what they needed to do. When we came back the next day, it was a different car, but, still it needed to be a little bit better. They went back and worked on it and I'm pretty happy about it."

DAVID GILLILAND -- No. 38 M&M's Ford Fusion (Qualified 36th)

"We were terrible in practice and had something wrong with the front end. Todd and all the guys did a great job and we went from being way tight in practice to a little too free in qualifying, so we're not as happy as we would like to be with our qualifying run, but definitely happy that we got the front end problem taken care of. I'm confident that it's fixed."

THAT WAS A NICE SAVE THERE. "Yeah, it was a little free there, so I had to let off. That really hurt us on our lap, but it was either let off or wreck."

ROBBY GORDON -- No. 7 Jim Beam Ford Fusion (Qualified 34th)

"Our car was pretty good, we were just a little bit tight in the middle. I mean, look at what one-tenth of a second would have done for us, but I would have said after practice that we'd be happy with a .50, but a .50 is probably gonna put us toward the back. It's amazing how competitive it is."

JAMIE MCMURRAY -- No. 26 Crown Royal Ford Fusion (Qualified 5th)

"That's great. The car of tomorrow is a little different, but we made really good decisions today. The car doesn't drive very good, but I apparently it's just kind of a characteristic of the car. It just feels really tight in the middle, but our car must not be as bad as others." TO START UP FRONT MUST MEAN A LOT. "Qualifying is important here to stay out of trouble, but also to get a good pit spot. Hopefully we'll get an opening here and that's so big here throughout the whole race when you can try to gain spots and not get blocked in."

THIS TEAM HAS SOME GOOD MOMENTUM WITH A TOP 10 AND TOP 15 THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS. "I feel great, I really do. The first two races we got in wrecks, but we had good cars. We haven't been able to show everything that we have, but it just keeps getting better. I'm very excited about the whole team."

GREG BIFFLE -- No. 16 Jackson Hewitt Ford Fusion (Qualified 11th)

"I feel great, but I kind of screwed up. Right before the last qualifying run we made on stickers I just about wrecked on both laps and we tried some different kind of shocks and lost all my confidence. When I say 'almost wrecked' I was trying to determine what wall I was gonna hit. We put the shocks back on and made a halfway run on old tires, and I was real, real nervous to come and do this. I knew our car was really good, but that spooked me and I just had to put that out of my mind and go. I had to go. My car was a lot faster than that. I could have probably been in the top three easy, but that gives me a lot of confidence for Sunday."
