KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger)
HOW WAS YOUR DAY TODAY: "We were pretty tight all day. The car just wouldn't turn as good as we wanted, but the guys did a great job on our Budweiser Dodge Charger all day in the pits. We came on strong in the end and did everything we could with the car that we had. The car was good - it just wasn't a top-10 car at the end of the race. But we'll take another top-10 finish that's for sure." Finished 7th
RYAN NEWMAN (No. 12 Alltel Dodge Charger)
HOW WAS YOUR DAY TODAY? "We just got caught-up in a wreck. The 26 and the 40 got crossed-up and turned around. Then the 15 spun in front of me and I had nowhere to go and hit him. Then I got T-boned and that was pretty much our day. It was a rough ending for the Alltel Dodge Charger. We had a fast car all day, but just got caught up in a wreck. When you race here you have to have your car in one piece in the end and we just had some bad luck in the middle of the race." Finished 33rd
KURT BUSCH (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger)
HOW WAS YOUR DAY TODAY? "It has been this way since we left Daytona, we've had a top-15 car and that's where we've run except at Vegas (accident). That was the story today; we had a top-15 car and finished 12th. We got everything out of the car that it could give us." Finished 12th
BOBBY LABONTE (No. 43 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge Charger)
CAN YOU TALK ABOUT YOUR DAY TODAY? "We ran OK. There was a wreck going into Turn 1 and I hit the 12 car because I couldn't slow down. We didn't have a ton of damage, but there was enough that we basically just had to ride around the rest of the day. I thought our Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge Charger was going to have a competitive day, we just ran into some bad luck going into Turn 1 and that dictated how successful our day was going to be." Finished 38th
DARIO FRANCHITTI (No. 40 The Hartford Dodge Charger)
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST TAKE ON YOUR FIRST RACE AT BRISTOL? "What an exciting facility and terrific place to race. It was a tough day for our No. 40 Hartford Dodge Charger. We lost our brakes before lap 100 and we pretty much just had to stay out of the way all day. We had a similar problem this morning, but I think the crew has found the problem -- but it's still pretty frustrating." Finished 36th
DID YOU HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO ACTUALLY RACE HERE TODAY? "Yes, certainly, the first hundred laps I did and then as I say from then on my only experience was getting out of people's way because we were so far off. Bristol is pretty tough to run with no brakes."
SAM HORNISH JR. (No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger)
CAN YOU TALK ABOUT YOUR FIRST RACE HERE AT BRISTOL? "We could have done without the caution with just under 10 laps to go. We took a pit stop and it cost us a couple of positions. That's just racing. The car wasn't real good today - we never made any adjustments that made the car go in the right direction. The guys did a great job in the pits. A little bit of that is me telling Chris (Carrier, crew chief) what to do and helping us get the car in the right direction. When Kurt (Busch) and Ryan (Newman) don't have a good car, they do a good job communicating what adjustments need to be made. I'm still learning that stuff. Sooner or later I'll be able to tell the guys what changes need to be made -- so I'll put some of that blame on my shoulders.
We came here to put ourselves in a position to be in the top-35 in driver's points -- and we did that today. I'm really happy with how The Mobil 1 Dodge Chargers guys worked on the car all day. Finished 29th
WAS TODAY'S RACE WHAT YOU THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE? "Yeah, except I probably got bumped a little bit more than I bumped anybody else just because we weren't as quick as we'd like to be. The left rear quarter panel sure shows it. It was a tough day for us but we finished and I think we're the top-35 in points so it makes us feel a little bit better about going into Martinsville."
ELLIOTT SADLER (No. 19 Stanley Dodge Charger)
CAN YOU TALK ABOUT YOUR DAY TODAY? "It was just frustrating - we didn't run the way we wanted. This is usually one of our best tracks. At the end of practice on Saturday, we had things pretty much where we wanted. I don't know if all the rain washed so much away during the night or if it was the cold temperature today, but we just weren't the same as we were in Happy Hour on Saturday. We still have a lot of work to do and have to keep doing our homework." Finished 19th
RODNEY CHILDERS (TEAM DIRECTOR)
HOW WAS THE CAR TODAY? "The car was just too tight all day. We tried, but didn't seem to do anything to make it a whole lot better. When we got it decent at the end, we were already one lap down to the leaders and there isn't much you can do about it then."
