Track lap around IMS oval offered to buyers of two tickets

INDIANAPOLIS, Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006 -- Tickets for the 14th Allstate 400 at the Brickyard, scheduled for Sunday, July 29, 2007, will go on sale Monday, Dec. 4, and any fan who buys two tickets before Dec. 25 will have a chance to take a lap around the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval.

Customers who have renewed or purchased at least two tickets can take a lap around the track as a passenger in a Chevrolet, the Official Vehicle of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, for just $25 by calling (800) 822-INDY before Dec. 25. This special offer includes a photo opportunity at the famed Yard of Bricks start-finish line.

Track laps are scheduled for Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25 and are very limited.

Race weekend and Race Day tickets will be available online at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's Web site, www.indianapolismotorspeedway.com, by phone or in person at the IMS Ticket Office.

The IMS Ticket Office can be contacted at (800) 822-INDY outside the Indianapolis area or (317) 492-6700 locally. Ticket Office hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Ticket Office is located in the IMS Administration Building, at the intersection of 16th Street and Georgetown Road in Indianapolis. Parking and camping permits for one of the marquee events on the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series schedule also can be purchased online, by phone or at the Ticket Office.

A two-day general admission pass for practice and qualifying Friday, July 27 and Saturday, July 28 is available for just $25, a superb value.

Reigning NEXTEL Cup champion Jimmie Johnson won the 2006 Allstate 400 at the Brickyard, the sixth time in the last nine years that the winner at Indianapolis also has captured the series title in the same season.
