25 Winning Years: Biffle Has Led the Way for Roush Fenway at Kansas

Sprint Cup Point Leader has been one of the best at Kansas Speedway This season Roush Fenway Racing celebrates its’ ’25 Winning Years.’ As part of the program each week a different moment from the team’s legacy will be highlighted in the 25 Winning Years segment.

KANSAS CITY, Kansas (April20, 2012) – Roush Fenway Racing has experienced its share of success at the1.5-mile tri-oval of Kansas Speedway, boasting seven total NASCAR wins and three Sprint Cup victories. The team has led exactly 800 laps in Cup action alone at Kansas and has finished inside the top 10 in 27 of 56 Sprint Cup entries. Six different drivers have driven RFR Fords to victory lane at Kansas, but current Sprint Cup point leader Greg Biffle has clearly led the way for Roush Fenway at Kansas.

“I really look forward to coming to this race track,” said Biffle in his media session on Friday. “This is one of my favorite tracks. It’s pretty high on my list because I’ve got a couple wins here. It’s always fun racing at this race track.”

Biffle boasts a team-high two Sprint Cup victories at Kansas and leads the current Roush Fenway lineup at Kansas in both laps led and average finish, with 346 laps led and an average finish of 8.3. In fact Biffle’s average finish is tops in all of NASCAR. He ranks second in NASCAR in wins (2),laps led (346) and top fives’ (6); despite having raced one less event than some competitors.

Biffle won in the Cup Series at Kansas in both 2007 and2010, leading a combined 97 laps in the two events. He has finished in the top10 at Kansas in eight of the last nine at Kansas and inside the top five in six of the last nine.
