Kyle Busch won the Kroger 200 Nationwide Series race at O'Reilly raceway Park on Saturday night. Busch has earned 15 victories across all three NASCAR's top three series this season. David Ragan finished ninth. He was the only other competitor in the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard to finish in the top 10.

Daniel Rodriguez performed the national anthem with four F-15E Fighting Eagles from the 334th Fighter Squadron, Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, NC providing the flyover.

Anderson (IN) Speedway holds the "Little 500" USAC sprint car race on the night before the Indianapolis 500 every May. On Saturday night Anderson Speedway was host to a 400 lap USAC Midget race. The race was won by Dakoda Armstrong.

Two cars were moved to the rear of the field for the start. Marcos Ambrose, originally qualified 24th, changed an engine. Regan Smith, who crashed during qualifying and did not take a time, went to a backup car.

After being told the hold the green flag with two hands, "Scrubs" star John McGinley decided that he didn't want to give the media extra work writing about the grand marshal falling out of the flag stand. My plan is to "hang onto a rail and wave that baby."

IndyCar driver Vitor Meira visited the track today. He competed in the Rexall Edmonton Indy on Saturday, finishing 19th. Former Firestone Indy Lights Series driver Stephen Simpson and Champ Car driver Dan Clarke were visiting in the suites today. Simpson, who is competing in Europe in the LeMans Series and here in the American LeMans Series, hopes to return to the Indy Lights Series this season.

2006 MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden and MotoGP rider Colin Edwards were interested spectators today. Both riders will compete in the Red Bull Indianapolis GP September 12-14 at IMS. "I've never been to a NASCAR race," said Hayden. "My brothers and a few buddies are diehard fans, so I wanted to bring them out here."

Syndicated sports radio talk-show host Jim Rome made his first visit to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. "Incredible," was Rome's response when asked about the historic Speedway. "I had high hopes, I had high expectations, but it exceeded the hype. This place is amazing."
