KASEY KAHNE QUOTES

Why Atlanta is one of his favorite racetracks:

"Because you can move all over and there's plenty of race track to get around on. You can get runs all around the track. If the car isn't handling in one area of the track, you can work on making it handle in another spot. It's a fun racetrack. You need to keep a lot of momentum rolling off the corners. This is such a fast track you can run a lot of gas and not as much brake."

TOMMY BALDWIN

On testing at Atlanta in January:

"The test went really good. It was cold out, so obviously the track had a little more grip than it will during the race this weekend, but overall the test went well. As long as we keep working and applying the things we need to apply week-to-week, we will be fine. We just need to finish races."

STATS & FACTS

KASEY KAHNE AT ATLANTA

* This weekend will mark Kahne's third NASCAR Nextel Cup Series start at Atlanta. He earned his best start/finish at Atlanta in last year's spring race, starting 12th and finishing third. After finishing fifth in the fall, Kahne had earned two top fives, two top 10s and led four laps at the race track.

* This weekend, Kahne will return to Atlanta with the same chassis that he ran to a top-three finish in spring of 2004.

KAHNE IS ATLANTA'S ACTIVE BEST

* Kahne's average finish in two Nextel Cup career starts at Atlanta is fourth (third in spring, fifth in fall), ranking him best among all active drivers at Atlanta Motor Speedway. However, the racetrack is Kahne's second-best among venues he's visited at least twice in the Nextel Cup Series. Kahne finished second and fifth in the spring and fall races at Michigan International Speedway, respectively, for an average finish of 3.5.
