Roush Fenway Looks to Occupy 1/4 of Sprint Cup Chase Field; Organization Could Wrap up Three Chase Slots this Weekend in Atlanta

CONCORD, N.C. (Sept. 3, 2010) -- Roush Fenway Racing heads to Atlanta Motor Speedway looking to wrap up three slots in this season's Chase for the Sprint Cup. With that accomplishment Roush Fenway would occupy exactly one-fourth of the 12 spots that makeup the 10-race 'playoff' that will decide the 2010 Sprint Cup Champion.

No stranger to NASCAR's Chase to the Cup, Roush Fenway has fielded at least two cars in each of its six years of existence. In 2005, Roush Fenway occupied one-half of the 10-car field and in 2004 the organization won the inaugural Chase.

In addition, Roush Fenway has placed more cars in the Chase field (17) than any other racing organization.

Below is a list of the scenarios of which each of Roush Fenway's Chase contending cars can clinch a spot this weekend in Atlanta -- one week prior to the final cutoff race in Richmond.
