Busch Will Start 11th at Atlanta Motor Speedway
HAMPTON, Ga. (September 4, 2010) -- Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger, led the Penske Racing trio of Cup Series drivers with an 11th-place qualifying effort for the Emory Healthcare 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday night.
Busch was the 28th qualifier to make an attempt at the 1.54-mile oval. He posted a fast-lap time of 29.769 seconds at a speed of 186.234 mph in the "Blue Deuce."
"We were a little on the tight side; we were tight in practice," said Busch. "We made some changes at it and picked up speed, but it was just tight. We ran a 29.76 and were just a little off. When you can feel it in the car, you know that you're going to be a little slow. Overall, it's not a bad start for our Miller Lite Dodge."
Penske Racing teammates Sam Hornish Jr. and Brad Keselowski qualified 21st and 28th, respectively.
