HOW WOULD YOU CHARACTERIZE YOUR CHASE? "We've been a little up and down. The last couple of weekends haven't necessarily been as good, although at Martinsville we did OK. We've had a lot of flat tires and a lot of things go wrong, but, other than that it's been OK. Our performance has been really good, except for Martinsville. It wasn't great, but it never is there, so our performance has been pretty good. We just haven't had the finishes. Hopefully we'll put it together. We're not running very good here, which kind of surprises me, so we'll see what happens here the last four weeks."

DO YOU THINK ALL 10 GUYS STILL HAVE A SHOT AT THE TITLE? "If the 20 and 48 don't have any problems, in my mind, they're the guys to beat. In my mind, they've been the guys to beat before it ever started. Even though the 20 didn't run that good at the beginning of the year, if you would have asked me before the year started I'd say the 48 is one of the guys, and if you would have asked me two or three months ago I would say the 20 is the other guy because he ran real good in the summer months. Tony is smart and gets it done. But there are 150-some points from first to last and if the 48 and 20 have a problem like we had here in the spring anything can happen and we could get caught back up. I know it's a lot closer than it was last year and anything can happen, so who knows. It will be tough to be where we're at to get back in it, but it could happen."

TRACKS LIKE ATLANTA AND TEXAS HAVE POTENTIAL FOR ENGINE ISSUES. COULD THAT BE A WILD CARD? "I don't know. That's really the least of my concerns right now. Our engine program has been awesome. We've broken a couple in the last two years, but not very many. They've just been phenomenal, so that's the last of my worries. Yeah, you could break but that's the least of my worries. I've been blowing tires every week. That's at the top of my list."
