FAST FACTS:

Jamie McMurray has 12 career Cup starts at Atlanta Motor Speedway. In 12 starts, McMurray averages a 21.2 finishing position, and has three top-10 finishes at 1.5-mile track.

McMurray's first Nationwide win came at Atlanta Motor Speedway, just two weeks after McMurray scored his first Cup win at Lowe's Motor Speedway.

Atlanta is one of only four tracks where McMurray has yet to lead a lap -- the others are Richmond, Las Vegas, and Phoenix.

McMurray on racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway:
"It's been pretty weird to think of the bad luck that the No. 26 Crown Royal team has experienced over the last few weeks. We were wrecked at Dover in one of the best cars I've ever had, we were taken out at Talladega while running in the top-five and then this past weekend we had a mechanical failure in the rear end gear. It's disappointing, but I know how strong and fast our cars have been over the last couple of months. We had a solid run in Charlotte, which just goes to show how good our team has been when we don't have bad luck hit us.

"I really like racing at Atlanta. It has to be the fastest place we race at. The speeds we carry into turn one are probably the fastest of any track we race at.

"It should be a good weekend for the No. 26 Crown Royal team if we can just avoid some of the bad luck that's plagued us."

Crew Chief Larry Carter on racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway:
"Roush Fenway Racing has come a long way with this new car at the intermediate tracks like Atlanta. We didn't have the best run there in the spring, but with all the testing we have done and how far along our engineering program has come, I don't expect the same thing this return to Atlanta. We've had some tough luck the last few races. It just seems like if we can get the bad luck out of our system, we can contend to win any of these races. We've really had some strong Ford Fusions and hopefully, like at Lowe's Motor Speedway a couple weeks ago, we can go out there and show how good this No. 26 team really is."
