JIMMIE JOHNSON, NO. 48 LOWE'S CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO - Finished 16th:

WAS THAT CAR JUST ALL OVER THE MAP, BALANCE-WISE? "We were competitive at one point. I just feel like the car was abusive and we were wearing the right rear out. And then again, the track changed some more, or something changed and got away from us and we couldn't keep up with it. We were inside the top 10 for most of the day. We were doing a great job and the guys made a lot of adjustments and did a lot of work. But just there at the end we couldn't keep up with the track or the car got loose for some reason. It was one of those deals. We finished 16th. It's not the end of the world. But there are three to go and we'll just keep fighting from here."

DALE EARNHARDT JR., NO. 8 BUDWEISER CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO - Finished 4th:

"We got tight. Those other guys got better, too. You've got to give those guys credit who finished in front of us. They improved their cars and had dominant stuff at the end. It was a heck of a car that Carl Edwards had. But I'm real proud of my team and just proud to get a top five finish. It's been a while since we've gotten a finish. We've had great cars the last several weeks, we just haven't been getting the finishes. But it was fun to lead and fun to dominate and show what we're capable of."

JEFF GORDON, NO. 24 DUPONT CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO - Finished 2nd:

"We're just having a lot of fun right now. We're in 2006 mode right now. Those other guys are in Chase mode and I'm not sure if that makes any difference, but we're just happy to get a top five. We got caught behind those cars. We had a little trouble on pit road and if that hadn't happened we might have had a shot at Carl (Edwards). I want to congratulate him. He drove a great race. He's a heck of a race car driver." More to follow..

TONY STEWART, NO. 20 HOME DEPOT CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO - Finished 9th:

"I'm happy. Obviously we wanted to run a little better than what we did. But at the same time, we did what we needed to do. We needed to gain some points there. A 43-point lead with three races to go isn't any cake-walk by any means, but it's a small amount of breathing room. The next three are tracks I'm excited about, so I can leave here with a smile on my face." More to follow..

BRIAN VICKERS, NO. 25 GMAC CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO - Finished 15th:

"We started out a little tight in the center and by the time we fixed that, we were then too loose off. I thought at one point in the middle of the race we were on course for a better finish, but we faded. The result wasn't what we wanted, especially since we're still trying to finish the season in that 11th-place position."
