SCOTT RIGGS (No. 10 Stanley Tools/Valvoline Dodge Charger) - 10th

"We were a little tight in practice. We knew we needed to free the car back up for qualifying. We just didn't do it enough, plus the track has a little more grip. The track is going to continue to get faster. We ended up 10th, so that's not too bad. I was just hoping we wouldn't be further back than 15th."

KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Dodge Dealers/UAW Dodge Charger) - 12th

"The car felt good. It just didn't go fast. We'll get it better tomorrow and be ready for Sunday's race. We were the best car at the end of the race here last March, so hopefully we can do that again. Late in the race you're going to have to do everything right and if we do we'll have a shot at winning."

KURT BUSCH (No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge Charger) - 17th

"We were real fast in practice and we were fast again in qualifying. We just came up a little short. The speeds are stacked on top of each other right now, but we'll have a good car for Sunday."

BOBBY LABONTE (No. 43 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge Charger) - 6th

"We picked up a little today on our race runs, and we were real happy about that. Our qualifying runs were OK, so I knew the track should be a little bit better. We adjusted for a one-lap run. I couldn't run two laps, but I knew I could run a hard one lap. Everybody did a good job and the car handled good. I'm proud of everybody for what they've done the first part of the year. We got in a good, solid effort today, and we'll have a good starting spot for Sunday. I don't know what it is about Atlanta. I really don't know. I could say I ran a Daytona Dash here a long time ago and finished third. Maybe that was it, but I don't know why. I've just adapted to it well. I knew Newman's speed would hold up for the pole. That was a heck of a lap. I didn't know where we'd end up, but I was hoping we were good enough for a top five start. We ended up sixth, so that's not too bad. It's a lot better than we did last week at Vegas."
