Paul Andrews and Dale Earnhardt Inc. announced Wednesday afternoon that a mutual agreement was reached for Andrews to leave the team effective immediately. Andrews had been crew chief on Steve Park's No. 1 Chevy.

Following DEI's announcement, Roush Racing announced then that Paul Andrews will be taking over crew chief duties from Frank Stoddard for the No. 99 driven by Jeff Burton. Stoddard's future with Roush Racing has yet to be determined though he has been offered opportunities to stay with Roush in a possible management position.

DEI's director of motorsports Steve Hmiel and engineer Dave Charpentier will take over the crew chief duties on an interim basis for Park's team.
