Matt Kenseth took the victory at Kansas, and later the team was penalized for non-conforming parts on his Toyota. The Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota team appealed the decision which as decided on by the NASCAR Appeal Panel.

Denny Hamlin will have to sit out the race in his home state of Virginia. Brian Vickers will be in the No. 11 JGR Toyota at Richmond.

Only a handful of drivers have seen victory lane at the end of the Kansas Speedway race. Not surprisingly the Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet team is on top of the list; however do not count out Biffle or Stewart.
