DALE JARRETT, No. 44 UPS Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing:
How was your qualifying lap? "We needed to see what we would have for next week and that was somewhat of what we were thinking about tonight. So I was probably a little more conservative tonight to get the feel of the car in qualifying trim in the evening. Getting onto pit road was okay -- I stopped a little short on the pit stop and I think the guys posted a really good time. They might have been able to post a little quicker time if I would have pulled closer to where they were. Then I spun the tires coming off pit road so that probably hurt our time a little too. But all in all, it was a pretty good run for us."
What is the focus for tomorrow night? "The focus of tomorrow night is to win. I've finished second in this race a few times, but I really can't remember how many times because it really doesn't matter. It's all about winning. We're a little more aggressive and little less forgiving, but its all about fun for the fans. This is one of few true events for the fans. You come here to win because there's something in it for you -- some people say it's for the money or the trophy, but it's about bragging rights."
How was your qualifying lap? "The car was really loose and I think we had a leak because there's something all over the side of the car. That's the only thing that can explain how loose the car was. We haven't been that loose since we tested and I went off into turn three on that final lap and it was so loose that I had to chase it all the way up to the wall to save it. It's frustrating and a little disappointing, but the guys did a great job on their pit stop and I'm real proud of them. But we'll bring a different car back for next week, but we've still used every lap here this weekend to prepare for next week."
