SAM HORNISH JR. (No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger) Finished 1st (transfers to Sprint All-Star Race)
"I wish we didn't have to race our way in again, but it feels good. I was really happy how everything worked out for us. The Mobil 1 Dodge was excellent tonight, as usual. I love coming here and running at Lowe's. It's been a real fun track for me ever since we came and ran the All-Star Race last year.
"I knew we had a pretty good car in practice. I had a lot of fun racing out there tonight. The car was really good. It was the first time I've ever won anything in a stock car, so I was pretty happy about that."
TRAVIS GEISLER (Crew-Chief, No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger)
"It's the second year in a row that Sam (Hornish Jr.) has raced his way into the big race. It's a pretty awesome experience for everyone on the Mobil 1 Dodge team. This is a chance for all of us to do one better than last year, now we just have to go race for that big check.
"Clean air is so important tonight. Once we got up front, Sam actually was able to back off (the throttle) a little bit and baby the car. It's huge. Track position is everything at these big places and fortunately we had a good enough car to work our way up to the front and then kind of check out on them."
DAVID STREMME (No. 12 Penske Dodge Charger) Finished 3rd
"Man, we had a great Penske Dodge tonight. We just didn't need that last caution because we were so good on long runs. You come here to make the (All-Star Race) and not to finish in third-place, so it's disappointing. We were close, we just came up short."
ELLIOTT SADLER (No. 19 Stanley Tools Dodge Charger) Finished 33rd
"I just got too loose on entry and tried to move up to the high line to make up some ground (was running 16th) and just lost it. I think that we learned some stuff for the Coca-Cola 600 next weekend. We'll go home and try to make our car better for next weekend."
