BK Racing announced on Tuesday that J.J. Yeley will be its primary driver for the 2014.

While it initially seemed curious there was no mention of Alex Bowman in the release, BK Racing owner Ron Devine later confirmed he was no longer with the team.

Bowman, 21, won six ARCA races between 2011 and 2012 and ran a full season in the K&N Pro Series East before joining RAB Racing in the Xfinity Series in 2013. The Tucson native ran the full season for BK Racing in the No. 23 Toyota last season.

Bowman is expected to drive for Tommy Baldwin Racing in the No. 7 Chevy. Baldwin would not confirm on Tuesday that Bowman was joining TBR, but promised the team would have “7 announcements in 7 days” starting on Friday.

Yeley raced as a sub for BKR last year but plans to run the entire schedule in the No. 23 Toyota.

"I am looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of my BK Racing Toyota Camry,” Yeley said in the release. “I filled in for the team at the end of the 2014 season, and I'm glad to be given the opportunity to come back again for another season.

“I am ready to get the 2015 season started and head to Daytona International Speedway for some restrictor plate racing."

Since his NASCAR Cup debut in 2004, Yeley has post two top fives, eight top 10s and one pole at Michigan International Speedway in 2007.

"JJ has been a great asset to the BK Racing team," Devine said. "He has been involved in the motorsports industry for several years now, and has the knowledge and skill to help build this organization."

Devine told Motorsport.com he considers Baldwin a friend and feels no animosity towards his fellow owner. Devine expects to announce his driver/sponsor lineup "in the next few days."
