A new Busch is born

It's a boy for Kyle and Samantha Busch.

Kyle Busch and wife Samantha welcomed their first son late Monday.

Brexton Locke Busch was born at 9:45 p.m. He weighed in at seven pounds, 10 ounces.

Busch drives the No. 18 M&Ms Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing. He returned to NASCAR competition last weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway after missing the first 11 races of the Sprint Cup season following a wicked wreck in the XFINITY Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway which left him sidelined with a broken right leg and left foot.

Busch finished sixth in Saturday night’s All Star Race. His next test will be this weekend in the CocaCola 600 at CMS.

The 30-year-old Las Vegas native has 29 Cup wins, 16 poles, 118 top fives and 178 top 10 finishes in 10 full seasons of competition. Busch also enjoys a remarkable record in the XFINITY and Truck Series. He’s earned 70 NXS victories and 42 Cup wins.
