SECOND FOR STECKLY AT ST. EUSTACHE
St. Eustache, QC, Saturday July 3, 2010: Scott Steckly driver of the No. 22 Racing/Canadian Tire Dodge was dominant all day at St. Eustache. Steckly was fast in practice and maintained that speed during qualifying, where he posted the second quickest time. The Lucas Oil National 250 was a success for Steckly as he pulled off a second place finish.
In qualifying Steckly put the No. 22 on the outside pole, and ran in the top five for the first 90 laps of the race. When the caution flag flew on lap 98 Steckly pitted twice taking both left and right sides. The No. 22 restarted in the 11th position.

"We were trying to save our stuff for the end of the race" said Steckly "but we pitted early and didn't have as fresh tires as some of the other guys behind us. We just couldn't hold on to it at the end."
Steckly, running in second, challenged for the lead with 2 laps to go, but lapped traffic got in the way and the leader ended up sideways and Steckly, who had to slow up, was not able to complete the pass but held on for a solid second place finish.
Steckly moved up two spots and is now third in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Point Standings.
The next event for the No.22 Canadian Tire Dodge will be the Toronto Honda Indy and the Canadian Tire Jumpstart 100.
