D.J. Kennington helped a competitor out, then won the Couche-Tard 200 at Autodrome Old Milwaukee St. Eustache in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The 200-lap race was contested on 4/10-mile oval.

Kennington beat runnerup Scott Steckly by 2.439 seconds. Don Thomson Jr. took third, followed by Brad Graham and Mark Dilley.

In the intensely competitive world of stock car racing, there is still room for cooperation between teams. Prior to the event, the racecars of Don Thomson and John Fitzpatrick were stolen, along with a car hauler, out of a hotel parking lot. Kennington and another team loaned backup cars to the stricken teams and both drivers were in the starting field.
