Miller & Carhartt Racing Race Into 7th Place at Toronto Molson Indy

Miller drove to solid top 10 finish after starting 15th

TORONTO,ON (July 10, 2005) --- Marc Miller and his Carhartt Racing #8 Dodge in a solid run from his 15th starting position to finish in an impressive 7th place in this year's ATTO 100 event at the Toronto Molson Indy, sitting 7th fastest in the first time session of the 35 entries for the event.

"Obviously we would have loved to run in the top 5 all day but I think we were all happy to get out of here with a strong run," said Miller. "Our car isn't hurt and we have another big event in two weeks to prepare for. This is such a tough series, any time you can run solidly in the top 10, especially in a part-time effort, you shouldn't complain too much."

Miller started off strong, sitting 7th fastest in the first time session of the 35 entries for the event. Qualifying wouldn't go quite as well for the team, logging only 15th quickest.

"Inexperience got me heading into qualifying," said Miller. "I am still very new to these stock cars and I requested a rather large change that felt better, but was definitely slower. I felt I had let my team and sponsors down there, but thankfully no one really remembers where you start, it's where you finish."

The Carhartt Racing team will next head to Calgary, Alberta for the Mopar 500 weekend at Race City Motorsports Park. The event is one of the fan favorites and it will be the first appearance for the Carhartt team.

"I have heard some great things about Calgary," said Miller. "I have watched the last two races from there and look forward to running the track. If we can have another good showing there I will be very satisfied."
