MICKS WINS CASCAR RACE ON TORONTO STREET CIRCUIT

TORONTO, Ontario, Canada (July 11, 2005) -- Kerry Micks used a classic road racing move to take the lead with seven laps remaining, then pulled away to win the ATTO 100 at the Molson Indy Toronto street race in CASCAR Super Series stock car racing action.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for CASCAR racing. Jeff Lapcevich won the Goodyear Belts and Hoses Fastest Lap Award.

Micks caught race leader Don Thomson Jr. as they raced down the Lakeshore Blvd. Straight, then out-braked him as they dove into a corner and came out of the turn with the lead. He pulled away to post an 8.407-second victory.

Peter Gibbons finished second, followed by Thomson, Mark Dilley and Brad Graham. There were 34 cars in the field that started the chase around the 11-turn, temporary street course.

Thomson finished the race with the lead in the championship standings. Dilley was second, 49 points behind.
