EIGHTH PLACE RUN FOR DILLEY AT RIVERSIDE

Antigonish, NS, Saturday September 18, 2010: Mark Dilley driver of the No. 9 Part Source/Exide Dodge qualified thirteenth and finished the Komatsu 300 at Riverside Speedway in Antigonish Nova Scotia in eighth.

In practice Dilley was eleventh fastest and in qualifying he registered a time of 14.962 with an average speed of 80.1 mph which put Dilley in thirteen place on the inside of row seven to start to the Komatsu 300 presented by Wilson Equipment.

As the green flag Dilley started moving forward and was running in ninth when it came time to come to pit road for service. Dilley had a quick stop as he only took fuel and restarted fifth, picking up five positions on pit road.

On lap 104 when the caution flew again, it was time to come to pit road, this time to get tires. Dilley opted to come to pit road twice under this caution to take both left and right side tires as they discovered that the No. 9 Dodge had run over some debris on the track. The PartSource crew made quick work of the tire changes and Dilley would fall into line in ninth spot. It was soon determined by the team that this was the correct move as both right side tires were flat from the debris.

On the restart Dilley managed to pick up several positions due to the new tires and moved into second place just as another caution came out. On this restart Dilley led a lap, contributing five bonus points to the days point tally.

As the race progressed, it became difficult for Dilley to remain up front as having had to pit early for right side tires, many of his fellow competitors had fresher rubber.

"We were hoping for a better finish, but we improved over our qualifying spot and brought the car home in one piece," commented Dilley after the race. "We are looking forward to Kawartha and are hoping to turn our luck around for the final race in 2010."

The Komatsu 300 presented by Wilson Equipment will be broadcasted on TSN on Saturday September 25th, at 2 p.m. EST.

Dilley maintained eighth place NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Point Standings with one event remaining in the 2010 season.

Next up for the No. 9 Part Source/Exide Dodge will be at Kawartha Speedway on Saturday September 25th.
