Much work ahead for Aoyama in Valencia

The first practice day of the Grand Prix of Valencia in Spain was a teaching lesson for Hiroshi Aoyama and the Interwetten Honda MotoGP Team as they still have to get to grips with the Honda RC212V on this circuit. Until the qualifying session tomorrow the Team has to adjust a lot of settings on the bike. Aoyama, who earned his 250cc world title last year on this track, hopes he can finish in the Top 10 on Sunday in the race as he wants to finish the season 2010 in style with a good result.

Hiroshi Aoyama, 14 -- 1'34.154 (combined times FP1 and FP2):
"This morning I had not such a good feeling with the tyres and the bike. This afternoon it was better. We tried soft and hard tyres and I had the better feeling with the hard tyres, so we stuck to them. Unfortunately we still have too much power in some sections of the circuit and this caused wheelies with the bike and we have to work on that."
