Misano challenging with MotoGP bike

The first free practice at the Misano World Circuit in San Marino did go quite well for Hiroshi Aoyama and the Interwetten Honda MotoGP Team, but was not perfect yet. The adjustment of the set up of the Honda RC212V did not give the 28 year old Japanese a good feeling with the bike and has to be set again so Aoyama can improve his performance. Furthermore Aoyama explains that he was surprised how different the track feels with the MotoGP bike compared to the 250cc machine he rode here last year. For example the start and finish line feels much shprter with a more powerful bike, so the set up is a challenge for the team.

Hiroshi Aoyama, 15 -- 1'37.001:
"We started with the set up of Indy today and the second bike had a complete new set up. I this practice I tried both bikes, but the new set up doesn't give me a good feeling with the bike, even though the lap times are better. Now I have to analyze and see what exactly we have changed and then look for a solution. But for the start it was a quite positive session. In Indy we hardly touched the settings, so this time I wanted to try something new to improve my performance."
