The Argentinian Sebastian Porto couldn`t complete a good result in the circuit of Le Mans, fourth round of the 250cc Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix (MOTOGP), because of one men: Manuel Poggiali. The leader in the championship bumped the Honda 250 RSW in the back when their were fighting for the third place of the competition. After the incident both drivers retired from the race, Porto of course very angry with the Aprilia driver. Porto missed here a big chance to add many points in the fight for the 2003 crown.

The competition of the 250cc. disputed in dry conditions, as Sebastian wanted it. After the warm up the set up of the Honda No. 5 was very good and Porto was very confident with his possibilities before the race.

A fantastic start of Toni Elias took him from the fifth place to the leadership . Porto jumped from the sixth to fourth place in the first curve, while the poleman Poggiali completed the first lap sixth. When the field was about to complete fifth laps, Poggiali, who has the best Aprilia and 10 km/h over the rest in the straight, hit Porto in the back of his Honda leaving the Argentinian without chances out the track.

When he arrived to his pit Porto said: ¨It was a pity. The weekend was good and we have a lot of hope. Until that moment we shown the very good bike we had. Poggiali made a mistake because he could pass me in the straight, he has a better bike¨. Porto knew what he was talking about, because he`s been suffering the dominium of Aprilia since a long time. In 2002 the only non-Aprilia victory was with Porto in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with the Yamaha. ¨Races are like this. Poggiali apologize with me, but we lost very good points. We were well, in third place, knowing that still we don`t have a bike to win¨.

Randy the Puniet took the leadership during ten laps until Elias took it back in the last laps of competition. The dispute behind them for a place in a podium between Rolfo, Guintoli, Nieto and Matsudo was amazing. In the last lap Rolfo took advantage of a mistake of Nieto and he took his second podium of the season.

This was the second consecutive victory for Elias in this 2003, and the third in his career in the 250cc championship. The French de Puniet is very close of his first victory in the category.

While all this happened, the anger in the pit of the Telefonica Movistar Junior Team continue: ¨This is a disaster. I`m very angry. It`s hard to know in which place he would end, because there was a lot to race, but Sebas and the bike were very well. This`s been a big knock for us¨, said Alberto Puig, team manager of Porto`s team.

¨It`s a shame, because our strategy with the team was to accelerate in the end. The bike was good and I was very close of the leaders. We could be in the podium or even win the race. This was a big chance because of the conditions of the circuit were good for us. I would like to have Honda`s new material for the next race because the Aprilia are to far¨, completed Porto.

After four races the fight for the championship is very close with Poggiali leading with 63 points, followed by Elias with 58. Randy de Puniet and Rolfo share the third place with 56, while Porto is sixth with 36 points.
