Once and again. Sebastián Porto arrived sixth at the eighth round of the 250cc Road Racing World Championship Grand Prix (MOTOGP) disputed at Donington Park.

It was, as always since the season started, another difficult weekend for the factory Honda driver.

Porto defined the race with a few words: ¨we arrived with the last¨. And that exactly what happened, because when the Honda 250 RSW crrosed the chequered flag, the egine stoped.

The weekend for Sebastián started on friday when HRC (Honda Racing Competition) gave his team the new engine. All was very nice until the qualify session ended with Porto tenth far away of the fastest Aprilia. However on saturday the perfonmance improved and Porto qualified eighth, a second faster and very closed to the other factory Honda driver, Roberto Rolfo, seventh, that has Honda's new elements since a couple of races.

On sunday 107.000 persons arrived to the circuit with the idea to live a day with the best of the Continental Circus. And they did

In the 250cc. category, Aprilia took it twelf consecutive victory with the spanish Fonsi Nieto in first.

Nieto completed one of his best races in the World Championship. The 2002 sub-champion took the pole position and during the race he just waited to his opportunity while Poggiali and his team mate Toni Elías were fighting for the leadership. Elías tried to get the first place in a very difficult way and the result was evident: he lost the position and the chance to fight for the victory. Nieto knew that was the moment for start the attack. And so he did. The fight between the two drivers was just amazing. Nieto ran using the head, something unusual in him who always makes stupids mistakes. But this time was different. He took advantage of his great bike to pass Poggiali in a fantastic maneuver and jump to the first position. However the Italian didn`t gave up and continued fighting trying to get back the leadership, but it was impossible. This was the fifth victory for Nieto in the Continental Circus and the first this season.

Far away of the dispute for the first place was Porto. The gap between the winner and the Argentinian at the end was 25 seconds. While Poggiali completed the lap in 1`34.558, the best lap for Porto, in 19, was 1`35.951. The gap was also in the final speed. Poggiali marked 237.4 km/h while Porto`s Honda shown only 231.5 km/h. Once and again to much for a Honda factory bike.

Despite all the problems Sebastián keep showing what he knows and some how he arrived sixth.

¨It`s been a very complicated race. In lap 10 appeared a fail in the engine, maybe electric because it wasn`t constant¨, Sebas commented.

The only way the perfonmance will improve it`s working. The team received the engine on friday, so there still lot to work in the set up. Some test day before the next race would be very important.

¨After the problems we had this weekend, in the set up of the bike with the new engine, we only have to work hard and analyse the reasons and, trust that on Germany thay won`t appear¨, completed Porto.

The standings after Donington shows Poggiali as leader with 121 points. After the victory Nieto is second with 106. Elías and Rolfo share the third place with 97, fifth anf fourth at this round. The Australian West is fifth with 94. He arrieved third and was his third consecutive podium. The French Randy de Puniet made another mistake and he is sixth with 89. Franco Battaini, arrived seventh, has 89. Porto is eighth with 74 points.

Next race will be on July 27 at Sachsenring, where a year ago Porto took his first podium in the category. Nice memories.
