The Spaniard rider Daniel Pedrosa achieved yesterday his third consecutive victory in his home race held at Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, where Casey Stoner and Andrea Dovizioso completed the podium places.

In front of a crowd of fellows contrymens, Pedrosa managed to take the race in Catalunya. "I didn't make a good start; it's been my mistake. I was very nervous, because at the start it seemed that the first gear had not entered well. The revs were very high and I let the clutch go too fast, but I was able to recover and fortunately the engine didn't stall", commented the winner about the first move.
However the rider of the Telefonica Movistar team recovered and on the second lap iniciated his attack from the ninth position. "I decided to push and put myself fourth as soon as I could, to set my own rhythm". When Pedrosa catched the lead on the eleventh lap, no one was able to follow the blue Honda.
"When I took the first place I could build some seconds of gap and driver safe to the end. We have three consecutive victories and I hope to continue in Assen", mentioned the current champion.
Pedrosa became in the first Spaniard to win the 250cc. race in Barcelona.
Australian rider Stoner was again the best between the Aprilias and added an important podium for the championship. The winner at Portugal this season fought in the end to keep Dovizioso behind in the dispute for the second place in the standings.
The Repsol Aspar team had another bad weekend. Sebastian Porto retired after he felt on lap two, while Randy de Puniet, who also had a fall, could recover until ended on sixth place with the Aprilia.
The bad news of the day was for Jorge Lorenzo, who broke his callorbone after an accident with Alex de Angelis on lap 11th. The San Marino rider had run wide and, on trying to pull back on to the inside of the Repsol corner, ran into the path of Lorenzo who could not avoid him.

Top ten places were completed by: Hiroshi Aoyama, Simone Corsi, Randy de Puniet, Yuki Takahashi, Sylvain Guintoli, Mirko Giansanti and Alex Baldolini.
In the standings, Pedrosa has a clear advantage with the rest. The champion leads with 123 points followed by Stoner, 96; dovizioso, 93; Aoyama, 58 and de Angelis, 56, in the top five places.
