The complete Repsol team will race in the Italian GP
This weekend`s Italian GP will see the whole of the Repsol team on the track after Dani Pedrosa confirmed that he will return. After a wet Dutch GP the World Championship continues without a break and sees a race at the Italian track of Mugello, where the eighth round of MotoGP will be held.
Dani Pedrosa will reappear this weekend in Muguello. The fall he suffered in the French GP meant he had to have two operations, these have kept him away from racing for more than two months, but the Repsol rider is looking forward to getting back on his bike. Pedrosa recognises on his blog that “Mugello is not an easy circuit, it is very demanding” and admits that “I am going to Italy eager to see the whole team again, work with them and try to do things well”.
On the other hand, Casey Stoner will got to the circuit in Tuscany stronger than last year and more motivated than ever. After his second place in Assen the Team Repsol rider leads the overall ranking quite comfortably, with a gap of 28 points over the second placed rider, Jorge Lorenzo. The Australian will be after his fifth win of the season in the Italian GP and so strengthen his control of the championship.
I am going to Italy eager to see the whole team again, work with them and try to do things well.
For Andrea Dovizioso it will be a special race: he has the chance of moving up to second place in the overall in front of a home crowd. The Italian goes to the Italian GP with some great recent results, something that should motivate him to snatch second place from Lorenzo. As the Repsol Honda Team rider said after his third place finish at Assen: “I can`t wait to get to Mugello this week; the circuit is fantastic and the fans, incredible".
A victory in 2010 Turning to Moto2, Marc Márquez will go to Mugello with his batteries recharged because his triumph at Assen after a weekend full of falls made his victory doubly sweet for him. The youngest member of the Repsol-Honda team hopes to repeat his latest result this weekend in Italy. A circuit where he has already tasted a sweet triumph, last year he was proclaimed World 125cc Champion there.
