Karel Abraham made good progress and finished 7th
Karel Abraham started the Grand Prix of Netherlands in a fantastic form after he produced very good performance in the first free practice and finished seventh, just 1,377 seconds behind the fastest rider. The second free practice was cancelled due to the oil spill on the track.
While rain fell on the Assen circuit, the Cardion AB Motoracing rider made good progress and set a best time of 1.50,413. „I am satisfied with the result of the free practice,“ said Karel Abraham. „It’s a shame that we cannot ride in the afternoon because we wanted to try many things for which we don’t have a lot of time now.“
With the top speed 269,1 km/h of his Ducati Desmosedici GP11, Karel Abraham was one of the fastest riders and he finished only 0,418 seconds behind the reigning world champion Jorge Lorenzo.
