World champion Marc Marquez says it was a "privilege" to fight with Valentino Rossi during the MotoGP race in Argentina, despite crashing out.
The Honda rider made contact with Rossi's Yamaha while fighting for victory in the final laps of the Termas de Rio Hondo race, falling and failing to finish the race.
The Spaniard admitted the MotoGP legend won the battle this time.
"It's always a privilege to be able to fight for a victory next to Valentino, and this time he won the battle," Marquez wrote on Repsol's website.
"He's a great champ, and the experience that he has no one else does, so you can always learn things from his race strategy.
"I just have to congratulate him and hope that in Jerez we are able to put up a good fight."
The next MotoGP race takes place at Jerez on 3 May.
