Netherlands GP, race: a hard battle, but both riders in the points

A hard weekend in Assen for Team JiR, but it did see both riders Simone Corsi and Mattia Pasini manage to get into the points. They both gained some positions at the green light and after some good passes they were in the pack following the top ten riders. In such a competitive category as Moto2 it’s not always easy to gain positions and they both swopped positions with their rivals many times, with Corsi ending up 12th and Pasini in 14th as they crossed the line.

So it was World Championship points for both and in only seven days it will be time for Barcelona. The team’s mood is still the same, conscious of the potential, they now look forward to Catalunya, which technically is similar to Mugello, where Corsi gained a good podium.

It was a very good performance for the winner Andrea Iannone today, who won by more than four seconds from second-place Toni Elias. The podium was completed by Swiss rider Thomas Luthi.
