LAST DAY OF TESTING FOR DE PUNIET AT BARCELONA

Two days of testing at the Spanish circuit of Montmelo concluded today with Stoner on the top of the standing with the best time of 1'42.180. Mixed weather conditions with storms throughout the day forced riders from Honda, Ducati, Suzuki and Kawasaki to end the testing earlier after a late start in the morning due to light rain.

LCR Honda MotoGP rider Randy De Puniet, completed 38-laps today aboard the Michelin-shod Honda RC212V clocking his fastest lap time of 1'43.039 on race tyres (5th position) proceeding the improvement of his machine overall package. De Puniet and the LCR crew focused his work mainly on race tyre testing to improve rear grip and the front-end feeling whilst other riders came out on qualifiers.

De Puniet: "Today we made only 38 laps because of the unpredictable weather conditions. We started late this morning because the track surface was wet and we proceeded till 4.30. Then it started to rain heavily once again. However we made some adjustments on the front geometry and, together with Michelin support, we tried some race tyres to improve rear grip. In the last two days I did not use any qualifier because we aimed to improve the tyres and the suspension performance obtaining some useful data for the next races".
