De Angelis' difficult start

The qualifying of the Motorcycle Grand Prix of Germany includes a lot of work for the Interwetten Honda MotoGP Team, as Alex de Angelis, who has his first performance for the team on the Sachsenring, crashed at the end of the session. The San Marines also had his difficulties this morning in the second free practice, but he is confident for tomorrow's race if the team finds a better set up for the Honda RC212V that suits his riding style.

Alex de Angelis, 17 -- 1'23.515:

"Of course I am neither happy nor satisfied with this result. And that I crashed isn't good at all. But I am confident for tomorrow's race. The riders in front of me were very close and I think I can close up to the front a little bit more. The set up of the bike needs further improvements to suit my aggressive riding style."

Daniel Epp, Team Manager:

"The Sachsenring Grand Prix is more like a test for Alex, as everything is new for him and he still needs to get used to his new position. The crash at the end of the session didn't help, as with the second bike he could not ride a fast lap time. We are working on the best possible base set up for the race in Laguna Seca now."
