Assen Holland, June 26: Roberto Rolfo sits on the provisional front row for the 250cc Dutch TT. Italian Rolfo thinks he is close to improving the potential of the Fortuna Honda and is very optimistic for the second day of practice at Assen, the 'Cathedral' of road racing, a track he likes very much.

The Fortuna Honda rider was always comfortable with his riding performances at Assen and from the beginning of practice the chassis and suspension settings were close to what he required to get the best out of the machine. He also recognised that work was needed on the engine power, particularly on acceleration. The increase in acceleration is essential to compliment the handling on such an exacting track as the classic Dutch venue.

"In general terms I am very happy with the way practice has gone on the first day," the Fortuna Honda rider acknowledged. "Because from the first minute I felt comfortable the chassis, the set up permits a faster entry into the corners that I need."

"The ambient temperature here at Assen allows us to work much better than at Catalunya, though we still have a particular problem with engine performance. We have to find more acceleration off the corners. I think all the time, and hard work by the team has brought us to where we are now." Emphasised the Altadis rider.
