Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo lashed out at fellow factory Yamaha-contracted rider Pol Espargaro after they collided at Silverstone, which almost ended Lorenzo’s race.
Lorenzo lost the championship lead to teammate Valentino Rossi after finishing fourth in the British Grand Prix, falling 12 points behind Rossi.
The Yamaha rider was upset with Espargaro's move and felt, the Tech 3 rider was over optimistic and took too many "risks" while knowing that Lorenzo is in the title play.

Espargaro, on the other hand, felt that he was significantly faster than Lorenzo and did all to avoid the contact.
"I was able to follow Jorge [Lorenzo] quite easily," the Tech 3 rider said.
"I felt I was faster than him and I tried to overtake, but as this happened, I thought there was a chance that he could cut back across, as he ran wide.
"Therefore, I didn't want to cause a collision as he is a factory Yamaha rider fighting for the championship, so I took evasive action to avoid touching him," the Spaniard added.
Espargaro later crashed out of the race while Lorenzo cleared Honda rider, Dani Pedrosa, to move to fourth but was unable to overtake third-place Andrea Dovizioso as he lost vision in the helmet due to the falling rain.
