Factory and satellite GP13 machines revealed at Wroom Ski Press Meeting
THE annual Wroom Ski Press Meeting continued last night at the Madonna di Campiglio resort with the unveiling of both the Ducati Factory GP13 and the satellite Pramac machines with factory riders Nicky Hayden, Andrea Dovizioso performing the official duties along with satellite riders Andrea Iannone and Ben Spies and the majority of both teams’ management present.
The bikes were unveiled during dinner at a mountain chalet at the ski resort based in Trentino and great excitement surrounded the new machines with fans eager to get a look at the new livery for 2013. The GP13 features a lot of the same specifications as the 2012 model with the chassis constructed fully in aluminum as opposed to the old carbon fibre model that former factory rider Valentino Rossi could not get to grips with. The Bologna-based outfit is using its Ducati Seamless Transmission (DST) system that allows better upshifts and downshifts on corner entry and exit while a new EVO 2 TCF, Throttle Control and Feedback system is also to be used this year.
Tomorrow, Ducati Corse General Manager Bernhard Gobmeier will hold a press conference in which he enters into more details about the development of the bike and the technical program for preparing the Desmosedici GP13 for the new MotoGP season.
