No easy start

With a new set up and electronic parts the start of the Grand Prix Ceske republiky was not easy for Alex de Angelis and the Interwetten Honda MotoGP Team. As it began to rain in the last couple of minutes of the first free practice, De Angelis was not able to use the whole session to get to grips with the new parts and settings. Just when he found a better feeling with the bike it started raining and the San Marines had to go back to the pit box and he lost the chance to improve his lap time. Nevertheless the 26 years old rider is confident that he will improve his performance tomorrow.

Alex de Angelis, 17 -- 2'01.098:
"We changed a lot on the bike and that was difficult for me. Now I need to understand the new set up. It is defiantly better than in Laguna Seca, I could feel that, but it is not enough yet. Some parts of the track work really well for me and some parts don't. Then it started raining and I could not improve my lap time. Tonight we will have a lot of work waiting for us to prepare for tomorrow."
