Successful start for Karel Abraham at Silverstone

Trying to find the right set-up of the Ducati Desmosedici GP11, Karel Abraham started the Grand Prix of Great Britain in good form.

Especially when the rain began to fall at the Silverstone circuit the Czech motorcycle rider showed his quality and set a best time of 2.19,009 which placed him in eight place in the results of the second free practice.

In the combined timesheet of the both free practice Karel Abraham finished eleventh.

"Today we tried a lot of things on the set-up of the motorcycle," said a satisfied Karel Abraham who finished ahead of nine times world champion Valentino Rossi in both dry and wet free practice, but he pointed out: "Of course I am delighted by this fact but it doesn’t mean anything."

"In tomorrow’s free practice we have to try to improve the set-up of the motorcycle," added Karel Abraham, refferering to the third free practice and qualifying.
