Silverstone not so easy for Aoyama

The qualifying for the British Grand Prix at the traditional course in Silverstone was more difficult than expected for Hiroshi Aoyama and the Interwetten Honda MotoGP Team. Aoyama, who finished the second free practice this morning in 13th place, could improve his lap time in the qualifying, but because of the cold temperatures here in Silverstone he has problems to find the right tyre for tomorrow's race. Aoyama will start the race from 12th spot on the grid.

Hiroshi Aoyama, 12 -- 2'05.712:
"My feeling for the bike is getting better and we could improve since the morning session. The direction in which we go is good, but we still have a lot of work to do to get where I want to be. The choice of the tyre is very important here for the race and at the moment we are still not sure which tyre will be the right one."

Tom Jojic, Crew Chief:
"It was better than this morning, but still not good enough. We learned a lot in this practice and we could improve a bit, but we still have to find the best solution. Hiro doesn't have the feeling with the bike that he hopes to have yet."

Daniel Epp, Team Manager:
"Unfortunately we are still far away from where we could be. The gap to the front is still way too big and there is a lot of work to do for Hiro and the entire team. He should be one second faster at least."
