Team Mopar drivers, including Tracy Hines, are set to race in the 19th Annual Chili Bowl Midget Nationals beginning on Tuesday, January 4.
Mopar to compete in the 19th Annual Chili Bowl Midget Nationals
Team Mopar kicks off the 2005 racing season this week in Tulsa, Okla., with the 19th Annual Chili Bowl Midget Nationals. Mopar's Josh Wise, Danny Lasoski, Tony Stewart, Tracy Hines and J.J. Yeley are set to do battle with some of the best open-wheel drivers in the world. The event is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, January 4, and continue through Saturday, January 8.
Mopar has also announced that it will offer the Mopar Bonus Challenge to all Chili Bowl Midget Nationals competitors. Any driver who competes with Mopar power is eligible for a $10,000 bonus if they can win the A-main feature event on Saturday night. The last person to complete the challenge was Tony Stewart in 2002. There are currently 28 Mopar-powered entries scheduled to compete.
Several Mopar drivers are also scheduled to participate in a private autograph session on Saturday, January 8. This appearance is being held in conjunction with Hooters of Tulsa, Okla. The first 200 patrons of the Hooters establishment on Friday, January 7, will be eligible for the autograph session. The session will feature Mopar's Lasoski, Wise, Ray and several other drivers.

Mopar returns to the Formula Drift series in 2005
The Formula Drift Series has announced an updated 2005 schedule. The popular series has grown to include six dates for the 2005 season. The revised schedule is to include the following dates:
4/16/05 New Jersey
5/7/05 Atlanta, Georgia
6/11/05 Houston, Texas
7/9/05 Sonoma, California
8/6/05 Chicago, Illinois
8/28/05 Irwindale, California
Mopar's Samuel Hubinette will be back to defend his title as series champion. The Mopar Dodge Viper Competition Coupe that Hubinette piloted in 2004 has officially been retired, and announcements regarding its replacement are expected to be made in the near future.

Mopar, Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises announce 2005 plans
Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises will retain Jay Drake and Josh Wise as its primary Team Mopar drivers for the 2005 USAC National racing season.
Drake, the 2004 USAC National Sprint Car Series Champion, will take over the reigns of the No. 21 machine to defend his title. The USAC National Silver Crown Series will see Drake campaign the Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises No. 22 car. This season marks the first in which Drake will compete in both series for the same team.
Wise, the 2004 USAC National Sprint Car Series Co-Rookie of the Year, will pilot the No. 20 entry in the series for Team Mopar. The 21-year-old hotshoe will also continue his tenure with the No. 20 USAC National Midget Car Series team, and he will compete in the USAC National Silver Crown Series in the No. 10 vehicle. Wise will compete for Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises in all three USAC divisions.
The Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises teams will continue to utilize Mopar power from engine builder Gary Stanton. More announcements regarding the team will be made in the coming months.
