Mopar spices up the Chili Bowl
TULSA, Okla. - Mopar Parts is adding the fire to the 17th annual Chili Bowl Midget Nationals, January 8-11, by offering a "double-dip" $10,000 bonus to any A Feature winning driver using Mopar power.
Tony Stewart won last year's Chili Bowl with Mopar, and he looks to defend his title against more than 200 of the nation's top drivers at the Tulsa Expo Raceway in Tulsa, Okla. Along with Tony Stewart, Mopar feature drivers include Danny Lasoski, Tracy Hines, Dave Darland, Jay Drake and Aaron Fike. In total, Mopar will be powering more than a dozen entries, all eligible for the $10,000 bonus.
"All of our drivers using Mopar engines might need to pack a little Pepto-Bismol," said Kevin Miller, Senior Manager - Mopar Brand Excitement. "[That's] because we intend to spice things up a bit by providing an extra incentive to win the Chili Bowl. Mopar is committed to its teams, drivers and engine builders and we're betting our money on them."
The Chili Bowl will be televised on ESPN2 on Sunday, Jan. 12, from 12 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST. Live coverage of all four nights of racing can be found on the Internet at www.rsbn.net.
