Reading PA - Competitors from the American Racing Drivers Club were on hand Tuesday evening to take part in the Reading Reunion Fairgrounds Mall Show. With five midget cars on display, friends and supporters took the time to stop by and relive memories of days gone by with the new generation of midget race car drivers.

Each driver that appeared at the show, answered questions for the fans and media. Questions broached the topics of off-season activities, rookies, the upcoming season and making history.

Michele Miller, Temple PA, and her sister Tracy Miller are setting out to make history in the American Racing Driver Club this season. The goal that has been set for a woman to win her first feature race in 2004.

Also, introduced to the spectators were two rookies that will call Mega Motorsports home. Carey Becker, a veteran motorcycle competitor is eager to get started. The midget race car is his first caged competition vehicle.

Learning the ropes with Becker is Dave Shirk, Mohnton PA. Shirk, a 600cc driver is making the step into a midget. Shirk previously ran a Stealth house car and turned wrenches on the Mega Motorsports midgets. Shirk has started two midget races in 2003 subbing for an injured driver and finished both in the top ten..

The season is gearing up for the record books.
