After the huge success of the 2013 Le Mans 24–Hours Web TV thanks to which over seven million visitors followed the race in 70 different countries worldwide, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest has relaunched this service with backing from Rolex and Michelin. It goes on the air on Sunday 1st June.

The Le Mans 24-Hours internet channel is back on the site 24h-lemans.com at the Test day. This general rehearsal two weeks before the race sees the relaunch of this unique service that the Automobile Club de l’Ouest has provided for the last three years. It has, however, been completely transformed to meet the expectations of the millions of fans the whole world over.

On Sunday 1st June the Le Mans 24-Hours Web TV will go on air. An open-air studio will be set up and two commentators Patrick Rivet (French) and Ben Constanduros (English) will host this eagerly-awaited test day. The programme will be intercut with reports and interviews done specially for it.

After this first and up till scrutineering, which will begin on Sunday 8th June, the Webspectators will be able to relive the highlights of the Le Mans 24 Hours thanks to numerous repeats of official films, reports, interviews, etc.

Bruno Vandestick will commentate scrutineering on 8-9 June live with reports and interviews on the spot. Patrick Rivet (French) and Ben Constanduros (English) will commentate practice on the evenings of Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th June.

The race is the centre of this service. As in 2013, two distinct channels, one in English and one in French, will provide commentary for all the surfers who want to follow it. The air time has been extended and surfers can enjoy 30 hours live nonstop (midday Saturday 14h00 until 18h00 the next day after the press conference).

Images from the onboard cameras, 14 this year, will be shown nonstop.

In addition to the people in the race, special reports will add to the richness of summaries, regular news flashes on the different classifications, the Michelin technical rendezvous, historic subjects devoted to the Le Mans 24 Hours in particular, and endurance cars in general.

The Webspectator will be able to understand what’s going on in the race with the live classifications and live text giving all the latest important information.

They can also comment live thanks to the Facebook and Twitter social networks.

To host the Web TV the Automobile Club de l’Ouest has taken on well-known specialist journalists. Patrick Rivet and Ben Constanduros will be joined by Pierre Van Vliet, Pierre Neveux, Christian Pasquet, Dave Spitzer, while Anthony Drevet will keep everybody up to date on what’s going on in the pits.

The WebTV can be viewed on internet on 24h-lemans.com by connecting with your navigator whatever the app.

The site lemans-tv.com will be devoted to videos on demand.

With the launch of the Le Mans 24-Hours application now available on AppStore or Googleplay, the second screen offer from the ACO will be as complementary as it is unique in the world motor sport.
