Team Modena Confident after Warm-Up

The Saturday morning warm-up provided the final chance for Team Modena to take to the track before the start of this afternoon's 75th running of the Le Mans 24-Hour race, and they ended the session happy with the pace and set-up of the their Aston Martin DBR9, and quietly confident of a strong performance once the race starts.

Jos Menten drove the car during the 45-minute session, the track again wet as conditions continued to vary between sunshine and showers - or even heavy rain - at the French circuit. Menten was quick early on, and 15-minutes into the session was in the top ten overall, and the team elected to bring the car into the garage before the end of the session, their preparation complete.

"The preparation of the car has been superb by the team," said Team Principal Graham Schultz. "We are running well in the wet or the dry, and Jos was fantastic this morning. I think the conditions and the situation we are in now suits us, and we are quietly confident."

"The track was very wet to start with this morning," said Menten, "but the car still feels good. The set-up works well in the wet or the dry, and Antonio showed how quick was can be in qualifying, so we will have a good race pace."

The team will have the Aston Martin on the grid at 12.45 local time ready for the pre-race rituals, with the race itself starting at 15.00.
