SWISS SPIRIT PROGRAMME CONFIRMED FOR 2007
Following their impressive performance in this year's Le Mans 24 Hours and Le Mans Series, the Swiss Spirit endurance racing programme for 2007 has been confirmed.
The team will also soon announce the replacement of Serge Saulnier, who on last Monday was announced as the new Team Manager of Peugeot Sport's Le Mans 908 programme.
Serge Saulnier confirmed: "My appointment as Team Manager of Peugeot Sport does not change anything for Swiss Spirit's 2007 programme. The rest of the team personnel will remain unchanged and the team will continue to run and develop the Courage-Judd-Michelin LMP1 car.
"Swiss Spirit has proven its speed and potential this year," continued Saulnier, "and there is an important development and reliability programme planned for the winter. I am confident that Swiss Spirit will be a prominent force in 2007, both in the Le Mans Series and the Le Mans 24 Hours -- if the team gets an invitation."
Saulnier concluded: "For the remainder of this year, the team is of course as focused as ever for the last race in Jarama on 24th September and the objective is to finish, score points and secure second place in the Le Mans Series championship."
