Seiji Ara Will Drive The Dome S102.5 At The 24 Hours Of Le Mans 2012
Dome has confirmed the name of the third driver on the Dome S102.5 for the next 24 Hours of le Mans. Seiji Ara is one of the most talented Japanese racing drivers, with a brilliant history in Endurance.
The drivers’ line-up for the Dome S102.5 run by Pescarolo Team is now complete, Seiji Ara joining Sébastien Bourdais and Nicolas Minassian.
Henri Pescarolo: “Dome is highly regarded by the press and the French public, they deserved highly skilled drivers. Dome absolutely wanted a Japanese driver, a logical and legitimate choice, and it is an honor for us to welcome a former winner of the 24 Hours of le Mans in our team.”
Seijij Ara is a reliable and experienced driver, he participated in the 24 Hours of le Mans 5 times, including 3 with Audi Sport Japan Team Goh.
Together with Rinaldo Capello and Tom Kristensen in 2004, he brought to Audi their forth win at le Mans.
For 2012, Seiji Ara is already involved in the Japanese Super GT Championship. Due to schedule conflicts with WEC, he won’t be able to compete in the 1000 km of Spa. For the first race of the Dome S102.5, Sébastien Bourdais and Nicolas Minassian will be behind the wheel.
