REBELLION RACING LOOKS FORWARD TO WEDNESDAY PRACTICE AND THE FIRST QUALIFYING SESSION.

REBELLION Racing's preparations for the start of the 78th Le Mans 24 Hours are well underway after the team's two Lola - Rebellion LMP1 cars passed through technical scrutineering yesterday afternoon at the Place des Jacobins in downtown Le Mans.

The scrutineering session also offered a great opportunity for the fans to get close to the cars and drivers.

The two Lola - Rebellions will take to the legendary 13.629-kilometre Le Mans track for the first time on Wednesday afternoon, between 4pm and 8pm, for practice. The first qualifying session takes place between 10pm to midnight on Wednesday evening.

Drivers quotes after scrutineering :

Marco Andretti / Lola - Rebellion #12
"I have just arrived from the USA today. I have a bit of travel fatigue so I can hardly believe that I am at Le Mans. I have to get some laps on the track to know it a little better. But here I already feel a great passion about the cars and I appreciate that. I'm really happy to be here! I'm mostly here to learn. I'll be a bit like a sponge ! My grandfather did not give me much advice on Le Mans, he told me not to rely on others for braking in the night. I have to find my own braking marks. I'll speak with him after my first laps on Wednesday after having familiarized myself with this special track."

Neel Jani / Lola - Rebellion #12
"I hope the weather will be kind with us for the race. I am coming to Le Mans for the second time. Le Mans is a very difficult race with the number of cars and the difference between the categories. In LMP1, you spend your time passing other cars and you have to be very careful. I am in a good team, among great drivers, we have a good harmony. We can make a good race. "

Nicolas Prost / Lola - Rebellion #12 "We feel ready. At Spa, we were unable to complete the race with our car which would have helped prepare for Le Mans, but the team has worked hard and well since then. I had a specific physio training for the race in Austria with Neel Jani. The practice sessions ahead will be important for us because we have a different car here than we had last year, and so we will have a lot of work on the set-up."

Andrea Belicchi / Lola - Rebellion #13
"It's fantastic! For me, Le Mans is every time like the first time. Even though I have raced here several times (4th time for me), you never know in advance what will happen. And then there is the atmosphere, the audience so close. I look forward to the start being given !

Jean-Christophe Boullion / Lola - Rebellion #13
"When you race at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, you realise that anything can happen. We can do well in this race and we can target the best results possible in the petrol category. We will maximise our race without being focused on what happens in front of us with the diesel cars. "

Guy Smith / Lola - Rebellion #13
"Being at Le Mans is always a special moment, even if you have been here many times. We had a very good result at Paul Ricard. We know we can not compete fully with the diesels, but our car is good and my teammates are fast and experienced. Everything therefore bodes well for the race! Our goal is to be the first petrol LMP1 and to be in the top 5 of the overall classification."
