No. 3 Audi and No. 8 Toyota involved in major crash - video

Both LMP1 contenders suffered major damage.

Everything got turned upside down at Le Mans in an instant when the the No. 8 Toyota and No. 3 were heavily damaged in an accident under wet conditions. The leading GTE Am No. 81 Ferrari was also taken out in the wreck.

Nicolas Lapierre in the Toyota seems to have caused the crash. He lost control, caught the Audi, and the the leading GTE Am Ferrari came along to finish him off.

All three drivers involved were okay but Bonanomi was visually devastated. The No. 8 Toyota was able to get back to the pits under its own power while the No. 3 Audi was taken back on a flat bed. The Audi and Ferrari are done.
