Jonathan Cochet with Courage for the 24H Le Mans race.
The actuality of the former Prost Grand-Prix test driver is particularly rich in the begining of this season. Indeed, Courage Competition and Didier Poulmaire, Jonathan's lawyer, have reached an agreement by which the French F3 champion will be the leader of this team during the 2003 season.
The agreement between Yves Courage and Jonathan Cochet allow them to materialize the collaboration engaged since the end of the 2002 season, during which Jonathan has had the opportunity to participate with Courage, and the support of the Scania group, to the film made by Luc Besson based on the story of Michel Vaillant, hero of a famous racing comic strip.
The program of Jonathan with the Courage Team is very diversified since he is in charge of all the development of the C60 and C65 and will be involved with the C60 in all the races to which Courage Competition will participe, especially the 24H Le Mans race.
Jonathan has declared : "I am very happy of the agreement that we have reached with Yves Courage who constitutes a real reference in Motorsport and whose name is closely linked with the 24H Le Mans race. This endurance program is really exciting and I am going to focus on the preparation of all the races that we will do this season. In addition, my role as a test driver for the Courage team is in line with what I have already done with Alain Prost in Formula 1. Even if single seater and F1 remain my priorities, I consider this experience with Yves Courage as a key step of my career".
In addition to this announcement, it has been confirmed that Jonathan will share the limelight in the team with David Halliday, son of the famous French rockstar. This will without any doubt increase the interest of media and sponsors for the performances of the Courage team.
